Mr. Flagg was born in Altmar on April 4, 1862, the son of James and Eunice Babcock Flagg. He was married to Miss Grace Colvin at Richland on New Year's eve in 1891, having celebrated his 60th wedding anniversary last New Year's. For ten years after their marriage he operated a sawmill in Redfield known as the Flagg Lumber Company. They moved to Pulaski in 1901 and purchased the Hilton farm on the Rome road where he lived for 48 years. Mr. Flagg was janitor and truant officer of the Pulaski high school for 18 years, known to the students and townspeople as "Lonnie."
