Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, December 22, 1994 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Fernwood Resident W. Lewis Webb, 86, Dies - W. Lewis Webb, 86, County Route 41A, Fernwood, died Wednesday at his home. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Pulaski Wesleyan Church with the Rev. Llewellyn Jones and the Rev. Richard Bennett officiating. Burial will be in South Richland Cemetery, Fernwood. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Foster-flax Funeral Home, 7385 Park St. Contributions may be made to the Pulaski Wesleyan Church or the Gideon Bible Society. Surviving are his wife, Ella C.; three sons, Donald L., David R. and Jerry R, all of Fernwood; three daughters, Marilyn N. Halsey, Mexico, Joyce A. Miller, Fernwood, and Shirley J. Bellows, Pulaski; a sister, Inabelle Webb, Vermont; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and several nephews. Born on September 20, 1908, in Fernwood, son of Herbert and Ina Bentley Webb, he graduated from Pulaski Academy High School in 1927. He was a life resident of the Fernwood area. He married Ella Calkins on March 21, 1928. Mr. Webb was employed by Hauserman Construction Co. for more than 30 years, retiring in 1970. He also owned and operated a dairy farm for many years and was a former employee of the Oswego County Highway department for several years. He was a member of Carpenters Union Local 12, Syracuse, and a former member of Fernwood Baptist Church.
