    • Betsey Mason Damon - March 1, 1820 - July 2, 1912. Wife of George Bonner Damon.
Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, July 11, 1912 Sandy Creek News - Sandy Creek, New York - Orwell - Mrs. Betsey Damon, the oldest woman in this town, died Tuesday, July 2, at the ripe age of ninety-two years, four months and two days. For many years it has been the custom for her friends and neighbors to gather at her home March first in honor of her birthday and the occasion was looked forward to with pleasure by both hostess and guests. It is seldom that a person is survived by his many descendants as was Mrs. Damon. She leaves four sons, one daughter, eleven grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and three great-great- grandchildren. The funeral services were conducted in her late home by Rev. M. Scriber of Pulaski Friday afternoon and burial made in Evergreen cemetery.
