    • Naomi was born in the town of Sandy Creek where she spent her entire life. She attended area schools graduating in 1945 from Sandy Creek high. Naomi was later employed with Gould-Lomax Company in Watertown, New York. She later tended bar and worked in a variety of Restaurants in the Sandy Creek-Lacona region. Naomi was active in the American Legion Auxiliary.

      The funeral for Naomi M. Donahue, 65, Nellis Drive, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Summerville Funeral Home, Sandy Creek, with the Rev. Janet Gibbs, pastor of Sandy Creek United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Sandy Creek.

      Mrs. Donahue died early Tuesday at her home after a brief illness.

      Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 this evening at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Northern Oswego County Ambulance, Box 113, Pulaski, or Cable Trail Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8534, Building Fund, Lacona.

      Surviving are a son, Randy, Lacona; three daughters, Mrs. John (Louana) Hull and Mrs. Richard (Marsha) LaSell, both of Sandy Creek, and Mrs. Edward (Cathie) McGrath, Lacona; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Ralph (Lillian) Salley, Mexico; four brothers, Herbert and Everett Miller, both of Sandy Creek, Albert Miller, Lacona, and Ralph Miller, Mannsville, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

      A son, Kelly, died Aug. 14, 1982, at age 21. Two brothers, Robert and Howard Miller, also died before her.

      Born Jan. 1, 1927, in Lacona, a daughter of Julian and Beulah Claflin Miller, she graduated from Sandy Creek High School in 1945.

      She married Harwood E. Donahue Feb. 2, 1946, at Sandy Creek. Mr. Donahue, who was retired from General Crushed Stone Co., died Oct. 21, 1985.

      Mrs. Donahue was a life resident of the town of Sandy Creek. She was employed as a bartender for many years in the Sandy Creek-Lacona area and also was employed by Gould-Bomax Co. in Watertown for 12 years.

      She was a member of the Cable Trail VFW Auxiliary 8534 and the AAHA Club, Sandy Creek, and was an avid bingo player.
