Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, March 27, 1924 Sandy Creek News - Sandy Creek, New York - Lyman Richardson, 47, native of Jefferson County, died at 3:45 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at his home at Richland following an illness of two days. He was at a south side barber shop in Pulaski Monday afternoon, accompanied by Mrs. Richardson, when he was suddenly stricken with severe pains in the head. A physician was called and later he returned to his home. He had since been confined to his room. About a year ago Mr. Richardson was severely injured when a motor car which he was driving jumped the rails and it is believed that the spine was injured, and that he never fully recovered from the accident. Lyman Richardson was born June 4, 1876, on a farm near Ellisburg, Jefferson County, where he followed farming for a time and about a quarter century ago located at Richland, and since that time had been in employ of the New York Central railroad company. For a long time he had been employed as a car inspector and was well and favorably known among railroad men and others as well. He had a wide acquaintance throughout the eastern section of Oswego County. Mr. Richardson was a member of Spring Brook lodge No. 646, I. 0. 0. F., Richland, and of Salmon River Encampment No. 31, I. 0. 0. F., Pulaski. Surviving, besides his widow, are three daughters, Mrs. Carl Weisenberger of Schenectady, Miss Emma M. Richardson and Miss Esther I. Richardson, the two latter residing at the Richardson home. He also is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Richardson of Richland, and a brother, Don Richardson, also of Richland. A short service will be held at the family home at 1:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon and half an hour later from the Church of Christ at Richland, at which the officiating clergyman will be Rev. E. J. Waterstripe. Burial service of the Odd Fellows will be conducted by Spring Brook lodge. Burial at Richland cemetery.
Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, April 2, 1924 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Lyman Richardson Dies at Richland ¬Lyman Richardson, of Richland, who was stricken while in a Pulaski barber shop, last week, died Wednesday evening. Mr. Richardson was born in Ellisburg, June, 1876. He was employed at the Richland station of the New York Central. He is survived by his widow, three daughters, Mrs. Carl Weisenberger, of Schenectady; Miss Emma Richardson and Miss Esther I. Richardson, of Richland; also his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Richardson and one brother, Don Richardson, Richland.
