After their divorce, and her marriage to Albert Adams, William started using Adams as his last name. It is unknown if he was adopted by Albert Adams.]
Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, July 19, 1978 Pulaski Democrat, Pulaski, New York - William L. Adams, 46, of 8046 Richland Road, Pulaski, an operating engineer with Local 545, Syracuse, died Wednesday night at the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown. The funeral was Saturday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski, with Rev. Dolan Morris of the Park United Methodist Church. Burial was in Pulaski Cemetery. He is survived by his wife Nancy Maitland Adams, Pulaski; two sons, Howard F., Syracuse, and William L., United States Navy, Scotland; two daughters, Kathy and Jean Marie, both at home; his father, Albert J. Adams, Ithaca; two brothers, James, Pennsylvania, and Fred, Liverpool; three sisters, Mrs. Jean Adams, Mattydale; Mrs. Linda Courtrite, Italy, and Mrs. Laura Emerson, Arkansas. Mr. Adams was born November 11, 1931 in Auburn, the son of Albert and Leila Strong Adams. He attended Mattydale schools. He married the former Nancy A. Maitland on October 13, 1958. The couple always lived in the Pulaski area.
