- Newspaper Obituary - May 12, 1995 Syracuse Herald Journal - Jennie M. Allen, 89, formerly of 508 Spring St., died Thursday at St. Luke Residential Health Care Facility in Oswego. Mrs. Allen was a native of Aurelus and lived in Phoenix area for 70 years. She was a assembly line operator at Sweet Brothers Paper Mill in Phoenix. Mrs. Allen was a member of the First Congregational Church. She was a member of the Golden Chain Rebekah Lodge. Her husband, Henry "Bob" C. died in 1987. Surviving are two sons, Mart H. of Thendra, and Andrew J. of Los Osos, Calif.; two daughters, Adelia J. Pearson of Boylston, and Alice T. Allen of Phoenix; a brother, Alby Robinson of Sherburne; a sister, Madaline Hubbard of Phoenix; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three nephews. Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday in First Congregational Church, the Rev. Richard H. Scheffler officiating. Burial will be in Phoenix Rural Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Contributions may be made to the Phoenix Area Food Pantry, 220 Bridge St., Phoenix 13135. Allanson-Glanville-Tappan has charge of arrangements.
