    • Newspaper Article - Wednesday, October 27, 1897 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - An Autumn Wedding - The home of Mr. and Mrs. George Dodge was the scene of a very pretty wedding last Wednesday afternoon, when their youngest daughter, Martha Janet, was united in marriage to Mr. Norman Earl Woods, son of William Woods, of this village. The house was very prettily decorated with evergreens and white ribbon, ropes of the two hung from the corners of the parlor. Promptly at five o'clock the bridal party entered the room to the music of Mendelssolm's wedding march, played by Miss S. Frances King, and took their position under a bell of evergreens and white chrysanthemums where the ceremony was performed by the Rev. A. S. Emmons, pastor of the Congregational church. The bride was very attractively gowned in a traveling dress of blue and carried a beautiful bouquet of blush roses. She was assisted by her sister, Miss May Dodge, who was attired in dark red, carrying Jacqueminot roses, while Mr. Louis Woods, of Syracuse, acted as his brother's best man. The young couple were made the recipients of many very beautiful and very useful gifts. After a short wedding tour they will be "at home" to their friends at the residence of the bride's parents. Among the guests from out of town were, Messrs. A. Patchen, and Louis Woods, Syracuse; Miss Nellie Dodge, Adams; Mrs. William R. Box, Watertown; Mrs. Thomas Laing and Miss Bertha Laing, Williamstown; Mrs. Weed, Orwell; Mrs. Drake, Syracuse; Mr. Floyd Adams and Miss Etta Adams, Oswego Center, Mrs. Wharton Sprague, Fulton, and Mrs. John Porter, Mexico.
