    • Newspaper Obituary - Monday, September 11, 1939 Oswego Palladium Times- Oswego, New York - Floyd A. Starks - An acute heart attack proved fatal to Floyd A. Starks, 53(54), Sunday noon at his home, 13 Hawley street. Mr. Starks was suddenly stricken Saturday night following his run to Richland as engineer on the St. Lawrence division of the New York Central. His condition gradually grew worse until the end. Mr. Starks was born in Pulaski, June 15, 1886(1887), the son of the late John and Ruth Lighthall Starks. He was educated in Pulaski academy and in 1907 entered the employee of the New York Central. He was engineer on the road for 29 years. In 1911 he married Miss Isabelle Curtis of Oswego who survives; also two daughters, Mrs. Earl Bundy and Miss Marion Starks, Oswego; two sisters, Mrs. Paul Allen, Syracuse, and Mrs. Beulah Buyer, Baltimore, M.D., and a brother James Starks, Oswego. Funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the family home, 18 Hawley street. Interment will be in St. Peter's cemetery.
