    • Newspaper Article - Monday October 29, 1934 Oswego Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Mexico, October 29 - The marriage of Miss Zerita Bloodgood, daughter of Mrs. Lois Bloodgood, and Forest Meeks, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Meeks, took place at the parsonage of the First Methodist Episcopal Church, the Rev. B. L. Waters officiating, Saturday evening at 7 o'clock. The couple was attended by Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mercer of Redfield. A wedding supper was served at the home of the bride's mother, immediately following the ceremony. Miss Bloodgood was a member of the graduating class of Mexico High School, 1933. Mr. and Mrs. Meeks will make their home in Redfield where Mr. Meeks has employment.

    • Newspaper Article - Saturday October 30, 1971 The Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Meeks-Elmhirst Nuptial Held in Mexico Church - Mexico - Miss Cynthia Ruth Elmhirst, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank C. Elmhirst of Franmar Kennels, Mexico RD 3, and Richard Alan Meeks, son of Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Meeks, Ames Street, Mexico, were married at 3 this afternoon at United Church of Christ. The Rev. James Scoville performed the nuptial ceremony. Escorted by her father, the bride wore a formal gown of Chantilly lace over bridal taffeta. The molded lace bodice featured a Victorian neckline highlighted with iridescences and pearls and cardinal sleeves ending in points at the wrists. Her floor length full sweeping skirt was enhanced by tiers of scalloped Chantilly lace extending in the back into a long Cathedral bridal train. The bride carried a cascade bouquet of white carnations and deep red roses. Sandra Colasurdo of Oswego was matron of honor. Other bridal attendants were Judy Hadcock, Colleen Walts, Donna Donovan and Judy Soderlund, Miss Debbie Schipper of New Haven cousin of the bride was junior bridesmaid. Little Miss Doreen Donovan of Bridgeport, niece of the bridegroom, was flower girl. Clifford Hadcock, Mexico, was best man. Ushering the church guests were Ronald Hadcock, Charles Avery, Richard Donovan, Forrest Meeks Jr., and Michael Elmhirst, Master Scott Harvey, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer. Reception at the Gay Nineties preceded the wedding trip to Canada. The bride, a graduate of Mexico Academy and Central School and CCBI, Syracuse, is employed as a Medical Secretary at Oswego Hospital. The bridegroom, also a graduate of MACS and New York State Barber School, Syracuse, is employed at the Nestle Company, Fulton.
