Charles "Keish" Pizon, 74, of 2041 Oswego County Route 58, died Tuesday at his home.
Mr. Pizon retired as a communications technician with the Federal Aviation Administration at Logan Airport, Boston, Mass. He previously lived in Hampton Falls, N.H., and moved to the town of Sandy Creek in 1972.
Born July 4, 1923, in Charleston, W.Va., son of Stanley and Anelia Polczak Pizon, he attended Pulaski schools and the American Radio Institute in Syracuse and Chicago, Ill. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He married Aileen Sanderson on Nov. 1, 1950, in Sandy Creek with Sandy Creek Town Justice Willard Rowsam officiating.
Mr. Pizon was a member of Robert Edwards American Legion Post 358, Pulaski. He was known for his refinishing of furniture.
Surviving besides his wife are three daughters, Debra Fuller, New Hampshire, and Dotty Marshall and Doreen Smith, both of Lacona; a son, David, New Hampshire; two sisters, Virginia Quattro, Rome, and Alice Tucker, Oneida; two brothers, Watson, Florida, and Lucien, Illinois; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Two sisters, Stella and Mary, and two brothers, Walter and Mage, died before him.
The funeral and burial will be private and there will be no calling hours. Arrangements are with Summerville Funeral Home, Sandy Creek.
