- Newspaper Obituary - Monday, September 23, 2002 Watertown Daily Times - Charles H. Klebs, 70, of 635 Canning Factory Road, died Friday at Stonehedge Chittenango Nursing Home in Chittenango. Mr. Klebs owned and operated a dairy farm for 40 years and had served many years as dog warden for the town of Richland and several other townships. He also had worked at Salmon River Fish Hatchery, Altmar, and delivered Meals on Wheels. Born Dec. 12, 1931, in New Jersey, he was a son of Max and Lottie Klebs, and had lived most of his life in Pulaski. He married Elva Pankhurst on Oct. 3, 1993. A previous marriage ended in divorce. Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Pam Moore, Michigan, and Elaine Presley, Lacona; four sons, Richard and Charles, both of Richland, Douglas, Redfield, and Edward, Smithfield, N.C.; a sister, Marilyn Avantine, California, 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A daughter, Gail Klebs, died in 1999. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery.
