Newspaper Article - Thursday, April 13, 1893 Watertown Daily Times - A Syracuse Postal Clerk Arrested - Syracuse, April 13. - Fred B. Lighthall, a postal clerk of this city, whose run is between Syracuse and New York, was arrested here early this morning by Inspector James, charged with robbing the mails. Upon being accused he seemed dazed, and after handling over 91 letters then in his pockets, made a confession. The letters taken were addressed to wellknown publishing and novelty houses of New York, and were of such class as would be apt to contain small remittances. The robberies have extended over a period of a year or more, and the capture is considered an important one.
