Ackley, 83, formerly of the Town of Worth, who died Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Piddock Funeral Home here. Burial will be in Worth Cemetery.
Newspaper Obituary - October 12, 1976 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Ralph A. Ackley Expires at 83 - Adams - Ralph A. Ackley, 83, retired farmer of the Town of Worth, died Monday in St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Piddock Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Stewart, pastor of the Adams United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Worth Cemetery. calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 .m. today. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Leona Ackley; three sons, Donald, Belleville; John, Central Square; and Robert, Adams Center; three daughters, Mrs. Paul (Rosella) Tuttle, Constantia, Mrs. Lyle (Ann) Randall, Watertown, and Mrs. Larry (Janet) Brasic, Oneonta; 30 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. He was born Dec. 30, 1892, in the Town of Rodman, a son of Charles and Delilah Brown Ackley, and attended local schools. He married Edna P. Norman Jan. 6, 1920. She died in August, 1961. In 1964 he married Leona Ellison Oviett. He was a farmer in the Town of Worth nearly all his life. For the past three years he lived with his daughter at Constantia.
