- Stroke Is Fatal To Mrs. Eason
Mrs. Lulu B. Eason, wife of C. W. Eason, died at her home in South Jefferson, street about 5 p.m. Monday evening. She had been in ill health since last winter, but was able to attend a luncheon meeting of the Ontario chapter of the D.A.R. at the Randall hotel last Friday where she suffered a stroke, from which she never regained consciousness.
Funeral services were conductited, from the home at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, with Rev. James N. Pauley, pastor of the Methodist church, and Rev. Albert Hoag, of the St. James Episcopal church, officiating. Interment was made in Pulaski cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, C.W. Eason, one daughter, Lucille Eason, a sister, Mrs. N Brimmer Hunt, an aunt, Mrs. Fannie Wilder, and two nieces, all of Pulaski.
Mrs. Eason was born in Pulsski and had spent her entire life in this village. She was educated in the local school, and after her graduation she studied music under Florence Hartman, of Syracuse University. She was an accomplished vocal and instrumental soloist, appearing in many local social affairs in Pulaski. She was on programs on WFBL from Pulaski for many years,and was at one time director of the Methodist church choir.
On Aug. 21, 1906 she was united in marriage to Mr. Eason. She
was a member of Pulaski chapter No. 159, O.E.S., and of Bethlehem chapter White Shrine, Syracuse, and was a past regent of the Ontario chapter D.A.R.
