    • Newspaper Article - Wednesday, July 7, 1897 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Barber's Corners - A very pretty home wedding took place Wednesday at noon when Allen Filkins, of Pulaski, and Miss Ona M. Thorpe, of this place, were united in marriage at the home of the bride's parents in the presence of about 70 relatives and friends. Rev. Janeway Gordon, of Syracuse, was the officiating clergyman. Miss Etta Reese, bridesmaid, and Claude Thorpe, a brother of the bride, acted as best man. The bride wore _ broadcloth and carried pink roses. The house was prettily decorated with ferns, roses and syringa blossoms. Many gifts were received which embraced both useful and ornamental articles.
