    • Newspaper Obituary - April 3, 1952 Pulaski Democrat - Rites Friday For Mrs. Clayton Hill - Mrs. Harriet Hill, 85, widow of Clayton Hill, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Hugh F. Whitney, on Rt. 11 north of the village, early Wednesday morning. She had been in poor health for two years but a noticeable decline had been noted since January, and the past two weeks she had been seriuosly ill. She had made her home with her daughter the past 30 years. Funeral services will be conducted from the Foster funeral home Friday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. James N. Pauley, pastor of the Methodist church, officiating. Interment will be made in Pulaski cemetery. Friends may call at the Foster home today,Thursday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Surviving besides her daughter, Mrs. Hugh (Edna) Whitney, are one grandson, H. Frederick Whitney and three great grandchildren, Kenneth, William, and Rachael Whitney, all of Baltimore, Md. Mrs. Hill was born in the town of Richland Feb. 21, 1867, the daughter of John and Harriet Stewart Williams. She married Mr. Hill at the Williams home, "Meadowbrook" (now Seeley's restaurant) on Feb. 10, 1887. They lived in the Hill family homestead in the Meacham district for many years where they conducted a farm. Later they moved to a farm on the Richland road, later owned by Karl Johnson, where they resided until ill health forced them to take up their residence with their daughter. Mr. Hill died June 20, 1939. Mrs. Hill was an attendant of the Methodist church.
