Raymond E. Cornwell, 91, formerly of Pulaski, died Tuesday at St. Luke's Nursing Home, Oswego.
Mr. Cornwell was employed by Church & Dwight in Solvay from 1967 until retiring in 1982. He also owned and operated Richland Auto Parts for many years. He had resided in the Pulaski-Richland area for 54 years, moving to Oswego in 2001.
Born Feb. 25, 1915, in Ellisburg, son of George and Ethel Price Cornwell, he attended Mannsville schools and served in the Army from 1941 to 1945.
He married Josephine M. Sidari on Dec. 27, 1947.
Surviving besides his wife are a son, Raymond A., Richland; two daughters, Virginia M. Lund, Oswego, and Kathleen J. Ramos, Corpus Christi, Texas; two sisters, Jessie Place, Syracuse, and Rena Clark, Ellisburg, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Susan E. Benavidez, died Nov. 21, 1978.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home with the Rev. Marilyn Stevens officiating. Burial will be in Richland Cemetery.
Calling hours will be from noon to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
