    • Albert "Bud" J. Potter, 83, resident of Orwell since 1948, passed away peacefully Friday, July 16, at Samaritan Keep Home, Watertown, following a brief illness. He was born June 27, 1927, to Glenn and Marjorie Dack Potter and spent his youth in Orwell, NY. He enlisted in the United States Navy in November of 1944, and served two years during WWII. He married Kathryn Ann Garvin on July 6, 1952. He was employed by GE in Syracuse as a toolmaker for 37 years, retiring in 1987. Surviving: wife, Kathryn; three children, William Glenn, Laurette Jane (Leslie) Blount and L. John, all of Orwell. He is also survived by one sister, Mary Ann Gardner of Owego; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell. Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vorea Community Church, Orwell United Methodist Church or Orwell Fire Co. & Auxiliary.

      Albert "Bud" J. Potter, age 83, resident of Orwell since 1948, passed away peacefully, Friday July 16th at the Samaritan Keep Home, Watertown, following a brief illness. He was born June 27, 1927 to Glenn and Marjorie Dack Potter and spent his youth in Orwell, NY. He enlisted in the United States Navy in November of 1944 and served 2 years during WWII. He married Kathryn Ann Garvin July 6, 1952. He was employed by GE in Syracuse as a tool maker for 37 years retiring in 1987.

      Surviving: wife, Kathryn, three children, William Glenn, Laurette Jane (Leslie) Blount, and L. John all of Orwell. He is also survived by one sister Mary Ann Gardner of Owego, 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

      Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home 52 Park Street, Pulaski with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell. Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Vorea Community Church, the Orwell United Methodist Church or the Orwell Fire Co. & Auxiliary.
