    • Newspaper Article - Wednesday, February 28, 1894 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Lacona - The marriage of Miss Daisy Allard to Mr. Charles Jamerson was celebrated on the evening of the 22nd, at the residence of the bride's parents. The services were conducted by the Rev. Mr. Seymour, of the M. E. church, Sandy Creek, of which church the bride was a member. Over one hundred responded to the request of the invitation and were present. Those from out of town were from Syracuse, Phoenix, Pulaski, Sand Bank and Orwell. After the marriage ceremony was performed the guests were invited to partake of a bountiful repast which, of course, was relished by all. The presents were too numerous to mention. To say the least, they were all elegant and useful articles which the newly married couple can feel proud of. We extend congratulations, wishing them a happy future.

    • Newspaper Obituary - May 30, 1968 Sandy Creek News - Funeral to Be Held Friday for Earl Jamerson - Earl W. Jamerson, a resident of this township all his 72 years, died Tuesday morning, May 28, 1968 in the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown. He had been a patient there for three weeks, having suffered a heart attack at his home on Lake Street, Sandy Creek. Mr. Jamerson was serving his town as Concilman. A retired farmer, he was employed for seven years by the Oswego County Soil Conservation Service, being for some time vice president of the County ASC Committee. He was a farmer for 30 years and for 10 years was employed by the Stevens Milling and Feed Company, inc. of Lacona. He was a member of the Sandy Creek Baptist church and was also active member of the Sandy Creek Grange - Born Here in 1895 - Mr. Jamerson was born in this town Nov. 7, 1895, a son of Charles W. and Daisy Allard Jamerson. He attended school here. March 31, 1917 he was married in the Baptist parsonage to Miss Louis Burnham. They celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary last year at the gathering held in Grange Hall. Mrs. Jamerson survives; also a daughter, Helen (Mrs. Willis) Jones of Rome. There are three grandchildren, William Jones, David Jones and Mrs. Betty McElbany, all of Rome, also two great grandsons, William Jones Jr. and Thomas D. Jones. He also leaves a sister, Dorothy (Mrs. Gordon) Eckford of Adams. The funeral service for Mr. Jamerson will be held Friday at 2 p. m. at Cleveland funeral home. The Rev. V. H. Hager, pastor of Sandy Creek Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery. Bearers are expected to be Harry Nicholson and Charles Nicholson of Mexico and from this community, Oscar Grossman, Leland Bumpus, Alvin Kraau and Leon Stowell. Friends may call between hours of 7 and 9 Thursday night.
