    • Newspaper Obituary - November 17, 2006 Stanley O. Cooley, 69, of Cicero, NY, died Friday in St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center, Syracuse. Born in Mannsville, NY, he was the son of the late Brayton and Nora (Brown) Cooley. Stan grew up on a dairy farm in Mannsville and graduated from Sandy Creek HS. Stan served in the Army in Germany from 1955 to 1958 and married Diane Stewart in 1960. He was a skilled mason. Stan and Diane had foster children for over 30 years. He was the best husband, father and friend to all who knew him. Survived by his wife of 46 years, Diane (Stewart) Cooley; two daughters, Dawn (Jim) Vaeth and Mary Beth Cooley; four sons, Dan, Steve (Sue), Marty (Diane) and Brian; sister-in-law, Eva Cooley; one brother, Ken (Myrt); seven grandchildren, Stephanie, Jeff, Sean, Scott, Steve, Thomas and Anne. He was predeceased by his brother, George, and sister, Beatrice. Friends may call Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at SEARS-MIDDLETON-JONES Funeral Home, 209 North Main Street (Rte. 11), N. Syracuse. Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in North Syracuse Cemetery, North Syracuse.
