    • Newspaper Obituary - May 3, 1993 Syracuse Herald Journal - LAURA C. MILLER - Laura C. Miller, 98, of 682 Genesee St. died Saturday at the Oneida City Hospital Extended Care Facility after a brief illness. Mrs. Miller was born in Richland and was a resident of Oneida for most of her life. She was a licensed practical nurse for more than 50 years and worked in Oneida City Hospital. She was also a private duty nurse in the Oneida area. She retired in 1980. She was a former president of the Wampsville School District Parents Teachers Association. Surviving are two sons, Wesley of Verona and Ronald R. of Oneida Castle; two daughters, Wilma Major of Oneida and Norma Whipple of Canastota; two sisters, Irene Hubbard of Oneida and Nellie DeVaul of Canastota; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Services will 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Fiore Funeral Home, the Rev. Donna Kay Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Oneida Castle Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, 303 Main St.
