    • Newspaper Article - Wednesday, March 21, 1900 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Stewart - Brown - A very pretty wedding occurred at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Brown, Wednesday evening, March 14, when then daughter, Lenora L. was united in marriage to Mr. Leon W. Stewart. The ceremony was performed promptly at 7:30 by the Rev. C. H. Guile, pastor of the M. E. church. The residence was beautifully decorated for the occasion with evergreen, bunting, and flags. At the appointed hour the bridal party entered the parlor to the strains of the wedding march played by Mrs. Fred Austin and took their place under a beautifully arranged arch. The bride was attired in a silver gray costume trimmed with velvet and white silk. They were attended by Miss Katie Grimshaw, of Mannsville and Miss Minnie Orton, of Richland. After the ceremony a sumptuous banquet was served. The bride is an accomplished young lady, the groom is a young man and is spoken of very highly by all who know him. The bride and groom were the recipients of many beautiful and costly presents. The guests from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. L. Stewart, Syracuse; Mr. and Mrs. L. Wilds, Mr. and Mrs. Bloodgood, Mexico; Mt and Mrs. Ed. Stewart, New Haven; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ackley and family, Adams Center; Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Allen, Ellis village; Mr. and Mrs. William Orton, Mr. and Mrs. O. W. Harmon, Miss Minnie Orton, Richland; Miss Ida Sharp, Lorraine, and Miss Kate Grimshaw, Mannsville. The guests numbering about sixty repaired to their homes after wishing Mr. and Mrs. Stewart a pleasant voyage over life's sea. Mr. and Mrs. Stewart will be at home, one and one half miles east of Pulaski after April 1st.

    • Newspaper Obituary - January 13, 1915 Pulaski Democrat - A Sorrowing Home - Last week we recorded the death of Mrs. T. R. Stewart and today we have to record the sad death of Mrs. Leon Stewart, wife of the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Stewart. The community is deeply saddened by the double sorrow which has come to the two homes in North Street. Mrs. Leanora Brown Stewart was born in Mannsville, Jefferson County, thirty nine years ago. She has been a resident of this village considerable of the past twenty years. She was a most loveable woman, devoted to her home and family. She was an esteemed member of the methodist church and J.B. Butler W.R.C. She leaves behind he husband and adopted son Frederick, her mother, Mrs. Sarah Brown, of this village and a sister, Mrs. Charles Ackley, of Worth. Funeral services will be head at the Methodist church at two o'clock today. Burial in Pulaski Cemetery.
