- Newspaper Obituary - March 7, 2006 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - LEROY R. DINGMAN SR. - MAINTENANCE MAN - LeRoy R. Dingman Sr., 64, Route 22A, died Sunday at University Hospital, Syracuse. Mr. Dingman was last employed by Paye Logging, Pulaski. He also worked for several years as a maintenance man for Scotch Grove Apartments. Born Oct. 16, 1941, in Ellisburg, a son of Corneilius and Bertha Berry Dingman, he attended Belleville schools. He resided in the Sandy Creek, Altmar and Pulaski areas for most of his life. He married Malinda Attwood on Jan. 25, 2006. He was married previously. Mr. Dingman was a former member of the Richland Fire Department, Richland. Surviving are his wife, Malinda, four sons, Steven Hoag, Dennis Dingman, and LeRoy Dingman Jr., all of Sandy Creek, and Brian Dingman, Pulaski; four daughters, Ruth Dingman, Pulaski, Betty Shepard, West Virginia, and Amandajean Hoag and Christina Faith Attwood, both of Sandy Creek; a brother, Leon Dingman Sr., Rodman; six sisters, Beatrice Balcom, Rodman, Maureen Lance, Watertown, Wilma Daub, Texas, Viola Martin, Mannsville, Betty Castor, Adams, and Phyllis Pitcher, Ellisburg, and seven grandchildren. A son, Rex Dingman, died in 2003. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski with the Rev. Marilyn Stevens officiating. Spring burial will be held in Ellisburg Cemetery. A calling hour will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday prior to the service.
