Newspaper Article - Thursday, November 25, 1886 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Married - There was a large assembly of relatives and friends at St. James's church on Tuesday forenoon of this week, the 23rd, instant, to witness the marriage ceremonies of Miss Martha H. Cross, of this village, and Mr. George I. Clark, of Woodville, Nebraska. The services were performed by the Rector, Rev. Robert Paul, and Messrs. J. H. Betts and T. S. Meacham acted as ushers with their usual grace. Gilbert L. Cross, Esq., brother of the bride, gracefully performed the part of giving her away. Immediately after the ceremonies the happy bridegroom conducted the bride to the cars, where, amid many warm congratulations and goodbyes, they left for Cleveland, Ohio, from whence, after a short visit with relatives, they intend to proceed to their distant home. Many handsome presents to the bride from attached friends and one from her Sunday school class, to which she was devoted, indicated their esteem and love.
