- MR. & MRS. HOWARD N. WHITE 60 YEARS

Mr. and Mrs. Howard N. White, Lake Street, will observe their 60th wedding anniversary Wednesday.
The couple will celebrate the occasion Dec. 2 with an open house given by their family from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Veterans of Foreign Wars hall, Salisbury Street, Lacona. The public is invited to attend.
Mr. White, son of the late Adelbert and Ida Prior White, Lacona area, and Fannie B. Stafford, daughter of the late Gilbert and Frances Weston Stafford, Lacona, were married Nov. 29, 1929, at the Lacona Baptist parsonage.
Mrs. White's parents served as the attendants.
The couple are lifelong residents of the Sandy Creek and Lacona areas. Mrs. White was a homemaker. Mr. White was employed in logging camps and later for the New York Central Railroad for 15 years. He then joined Syracuse Carpenters Union Local 12 and worked for 32 years. He retired from his last job at the Nine Mile Point 1 nuclear power plant, Oswego, in 1971.
Mrs. White enjoys knitting and crocheting. Mr. White is a handy man. They both enjoy gardening and bird watching.
The couple has eight children, Wayne, Norman, Philip, Reginald, Mrs. Richard (Sharon) Cordell and Mrs. Alden (Joy) Wade, all of Sandy Creek, Gary, Richland, and H. Douglas, Citrus Heights, Calif. They also have 29 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
A son, Jack, died in 1971.
