    Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, July 5, 1972 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - George Shaw Dies at 45, Worked 26 Years For Pulaski - George F. Shaw, 45, of 7647 North Street, Pulaski, died Wednesday, June 28, in the Veteran's Hospital in Syracuse where he had been a patient two days. He was born February 21, 1927 in the Town of Richland, the son of Thomas and Laura Gregory Shaw. He attended Pulaski high school and served one year in the United States Navy. He was employed for 26 years by the Pulaski Village Department and had been on sick leave since March 1, 1972. He was married to Roberta Clark October 24, 1970 and was a member of Robert Edwards Post 358 American Legion. He helped form the Babe Ruth League and acted as manager for several years. He is survived by his wife, Roberta; sons Steven Shaw of the Air Force stationed in Lackland AFB, Texas, Kim Shaw, 15, at home, George II and Kristie, twins at home; one step-son, Robert Clark of the United States Army stationed at Friedburg, Germany; mother, Mrs. Laura Shaw of Pulaski; three brothers, Harold and Thomas of Pulaski and Sidney of Fellsmere, Florida; one sister, Etta May Cosilmon of Pulaski. The funeral was held Sunday, July 2 at one p.m. at Foster-Hu Funeral Home. The Reverend Edwin A. Potter of Park United Methodist Church officiated. Burial was in Pulaski Cemetery with full military honors.

    George married Esther Ellen Trumble on 24 Jul 1949, and was divorced on 28 Sep 1970. Esther (daughter of Ira Hugh Trumble, Sr. and Blanche Alva Lago) was born on 17 Aug 1928 in Redfield, Oswego, New York; died on 28 Sep 2012 in Morrisville, New York. [Group Sheet]

    Esther E. Shaw, age 84, life resident of Pulaski, passed away Friday at Crouse Community Center in Morrisville. Esther was born August 17, 1928 in Redfield, the daughter of Ira and Blanch Lago Trumble. She attended Altmar Schools. Ester was an avid Yankee fan.

    Surviving, two sons Stephen (Sarah) Shaw of Reidsville, NC and Kim (Tina) Shaw of Alabama, one sister Caroline Trumble of Fulton, one brother Ira Trumble of Kentucky and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

    A Graveside Service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Evergreen Cemetery in Orwell. Arrangements by Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski. Donations in Esther's name may be made to a charity of one's choice.

    The family would like to thank the staff at Crouse Community Center for the excellent and loving care their mother received.

Shaw, Sr., 70, died unexpectedly early Tuesday morning at his home in Maple Ave. He had been in poor health for several years. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Taylor Funeral Home with the Rev. W. Russell Clark of Park Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be at Richland Cemetery with military rites by Robert Edward Post 358, American Legion. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Laura Gregory Shaw; four sons, Sidney of Orwell and Thomas, Jr., Harold and George Shaw of Pulaski; one daughter Mrs. LeRoy (Etta Mae) Cosilmon of Richland; 23 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Shaw was born November 3, 1890 in the Town of Hounsfield, Jefferson County, the son of Sidney and Stella Belcher Shaw. He came to Pulaski in 1919 and was married to Miss Laura Gregory at Adams Center, June 18, 1920. Following their marriage, they had lived in the Pulaski vicinity. Mr. Shaw had been employed as a meat cutter at the Pulaski Cold Storage Plant until five years ago when ill health forced him to retire. Prior to that he had operated a farm in the vicinity. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of Robert Edwards Post 358 American Legion and attended the Park Methodist Church.

    Newspaper Obituary - Tuesday September 9, 1986 Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Pulaski - Laura B. Shaw, 83, a resident of 7368 Maple Avenue, died Monday at her home. Mrs. Shaw was born in Worth and had resided here many years. Her husband, Thomas, died in 1961. Mrs. Shaw was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars auxiliaries.
