Newspaper Obituary - Monday, November 14, 1960 Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Vicinity Obituary - Philip DeWispelare - Central Square - Philip DeWispelare, 85, of Central Square, died Sunday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Anna Clark, after a long illness. He was a native of Belgium and had lived in Central Square 47 years. He was the operator of a farm until he retired in 1946. Besides his daughter, he is survived by two sons, Henry of Hamilton and Frank DeWispelare of Mallory; another daughter, Mrs. Marie Clark of Detroit, Mich; two brothers, Morris DeWispelare of Syracuse and Camiel De Wispelare of Rochester; two sisters, Mrs. Leonie Gabriel of Halifax, N.S., and Mrs. Ed Scheemaker of Central Square; 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Traub Funeral Home, Central Square, and at 9:30 a.m. in St. Michael’s Church. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Central Square. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
