Burial will be in Ellisburg Rural Cemetery. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Doris P. Morenus; a son Richard G., Ellisburg; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Eleanor) Maitland, Woodville; a
    brother, Arthur, Dodge City, Kan.; a sister, Miss Esther Morenus, Pulaski. Born Jan 31 1904 at Cleveland, a son of Orsen W and Nellie Mahaffy Morenus. He married Doris Parsons of Pulaski on Aug. 10, 1923. He was employed most of his life
    as a body and fender repairman at the Gladd and Leper Buick Garage, Saranac Lake. The couple moved to their present home upon his retirement three years ago

    Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, October 20, 1887 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Died - In Pulaski October 18, 1887, Samuel Mahaffy, aged 83 years. Mr. Mahaffy moved to this village about 50 years since. Mr. Mahaffy was a quiet, peaceable citizen, highly respected by all who knew him. His wife and six children survive him. One son, Samuel Jr., died in the Army. The funeral will be held to-day, Wednesday, at three o’clock p.m., from the residence of his son, David C. Mahaffy. Rev. William Watson of Ilion will conduct the services.

    Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, November 19, 1891 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Died - In this village, at the residence of her son, D. C. Mahaffy, November 14, 1891, Esther, wife of the late Samuel Mahaffy, aged 79 years and five months. Mrs. Mahaffy has been a resident of Pulaski for about 54 years. She was daughter of David Cropsey, once of this town, but long since deceased. Previous to coming here, deceased resided in Rome. Her husband departed this life about four years since. Six children survive her, Mrs. Helen Munderback, Mrs. Jennie Gillespie, Mrs. Kate Sharp, Frank Mahaffy, David C. Mahaffy, John Mahaffy, all of whom reside in this town and all of whom were present at her death. She had been a member of the M. E. church for over forty years. The funeral, held on Tuesday, was conducted by her pastor, Rev. Bramley. There were thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren present at the funeral.
