    Newspaper Obituary - Tuesday, August 27, 1996 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Dorothy A. Hall, Pulaski Resident ¬Dorothy A. Hall, 80, County Route 2, died Monday at St. Luke's Nursing Home, Oswego, after a long illness. Born August 10, 1916, in Daysville, daughter of Alanson and Lena Ivens Corey, she was a life resident of the Pulaski area. She married Bertram Hall January 23, 1937, at the home of the Rev. Albert E. Lawrence, then Pulaski town clerk and retired Baptist minister, with the Rev. Mr. Lawrence officiating. Mr. Bertram died May 30, 1954. Mrs. Hall was a member of Fernwood Baptist Church and Mexico Senior Citizens. Surviving are two sons, Frederick A., Pinehurst, North Carolina, and David G., Pulaski; two daughters, Lena G. Brosnan, Mexico, and Sue Y. Lewis, Pulaski; two brothers, Harold Corey, Pulaski, and John Corey, Oswego; a sister, Laura Smith, Parish, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Foster-Flax Funeral Home with the Rev. Glenn Bozak officiating. Burial will be in South Richland Cemetery, Fernwood. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

    Newspaper Obituary - February 1963 - Mexico Independent - Mexico, New York - Pulaski - Mrs. Lena Belle Corey, 72, of Daysville, died Wednesday night in Spencer Nursing Home, New Haven, where she had been a patient for a year. Surviving are her husband Alanson Corey of Fernwood; two daughters, Mrs. Laura Smith of Parish, and Mrs. Dorothy Hall of Fernwood; four sons, Harold of Daysville, Norman, Raymond and John, all of Oswego; and a brother, Raymond Ivens of Daysville; 28 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Taylor Funeral Home, Pulaski, with the Rev. Llewellyn Jones officiating. Burial will be in spring in Daysville Cemetery.

A native of the Town of Richland, he operated a farm in the area most of his life. Surviving are a son, Raymond Ivens of Daysville; a daughter, Mrs. Lena Corey of New Haven; nine grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.     Newspaper Obituary - October 11, 1916 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Frank Tilkins Dies At Age Of 90 ¬Frank Tilkins, one of the oldest residents of this town, died at the home of his son-in-law, John Ivens, in Daysville, last Thursday morning, at the ripe age of 90. He was stricken a few days before with pneumonia, and also suffered from a stroke, but up to that time had enjoyed good health, and was unusually active for one so advanced in years. Mr. Tilkins was born in this town February 28, 1826, and had always lived in this community. For some time in his younger years, he was a sailor on the Great Lakes. He was a civil war veteran and a member of the J. B. Butler Post, G. A. R. No. 111. He is survived by a son, John Tilkins of Port Ontario, and four daughters, Mrs. James Mitchell, Port Ontario, Mrs. John Ivens, Daysville, Mrs. Ransom Tanner, Parish, and Mrs. William Martin, Oswego. The funeral services were held in the Methodist church last Saturday afternoon at two o'clock, Rev. F. O. Dexter officiated. Burial was at the Daysville cemetery.

    Frank was born along the lake near Port Ontario. He was drawn to serve as a sailor on the Great Lakes and served in such capacity during his youth. He enlisted in the Civil War and served honorably in Company C of the NY 184th. He was later a member of the J. B. Butler Post G.A.R. in Pulaski.
